Melting Away
2025

In this work, glaciers are reimagined as shifting landlines, their surfaces veiled by layers of half-melted ice. The imagery is drawn from revisiting travel maps and memories of landscapes that carry both fragility and immensity. Beneath the surface, the imagination lingers—perhaps frozen herbs, remnants of bones, or forms of the unknown lie in waiting.

This sense of what is hidden becomes central to the piece. The process mirrors the glacier itself: peeling back layers, revealing traces, and holding memory and mystery together in the same breath.
